Your first visit
What services do you offer?
We provide comprehensive dental care including cleanings, exams, fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, implants, extractions, root canals, whitening and emergency care.
Do you accept new patients?
Yes, we are currently welcoming new patients of all ages.
How often should I visit the dentist?
Many patients attend check-ups and cleanings about every 6 months. Your dentist may recommend a different interval based on your oral health and individual needs.
What should I expect at my first visit?
Your first appointment includes a comprehensive exam, dental cleaning if time permits, X-rays if needed, and a personalized treatment plan.
Insurance & payment
Do you accept dental insurance and will I have a co-pay?
We accept most major dental insurance plans, including CDCP. For employer-sponsored plans, your employer chooses the coverage and the insurer administers the plan. Benefits depend on your particular contract.
As a courtesy, our office submits claims on your behalf. Co-pays, deductibles, frequency limits, ineligible services and other amounts not paid by your plan are your responsibility. Reimbursement depends on the plan rules and fee guide allowances, and may not cover the full cost of recommended treatment.
If you have more than one plan, coordination of benefits may apply: the primary plan pays first and the secondary plan may consider the remaining eligible amount, up to 100% of the eligible amount. Secondary coverage does not guarantee that the full balance will be paid. Each plan applies its own frequency limits, annual maximums, eligibility rules, fee guide allowances and exclusions. Any unpaid portion after both plans process the claim remains your responsibility.
How do I know what my insurance covers?
Coverage varies by plan. We can submit a pre-determination to help you understand potential benefits. You are responsible for checking your coverage, eligibility, frequency limits and annual maximums directly with your insurer or through your member portal.
Treatment & comfort
Are dental X-rays safe?
Dental X-rays use low doses of radiation, but exposure is not risk-free. Your dentist considers your history, examination and individual needs before recommending images. X-rays are taken when needed to help diagnose and plan care.
Do you offer sedation dentistry?
Sedation options depend on the procedure and your individual needs. Please ask our team which options may be appropriate for you.
Why do I need a deep cleaning or more frequent cleanings?
Deep cleaning treatment, also called scaling and root planing, removes plaque and tartar beneath the gumline to help manage gum disease. Regular periodontal maintenance supports healthy gums and helps prevent further buildup.
Your dental team will recommend a maintenance schedule based on your specific needs, often every 3 to 4 months.
What if I have dental anxiety?
Please let us know. We offer gentle care and a supportive environment, and can discuss sedation options or shorter visits where appropriate for your treatment.
Appointments & office policies
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 2 business days’ notice for cancellations or appointment changes so we can offer the time to another patient.
If adequate notice is not provided, a cancellation fee will be applied: a minimum of $50 for a hygiene appointment or a minimum of $100 for a dentist appointment.
Do you offer emergency appointments?
Yes, we reserve time daily for urgent dental concerns such as pain, swelling or broken teeth. Call the office at (289) 463-0133 to ask about availability.
